I'm spending Christmas with my boyfriend's family in his hometown in Australia so I asked him about it
Me:Are you gonna show me all the hotspots of Glencoe?
S:There are no hotspots of Glencoe
Me:Well what is there besides a police station and a grocery store?
S:There isn't even a police station or a grocery store
Me:WHAT?! You're joking
S:Babe, there's only like 500 people there
500 people?! There's more people in my neighborhood that I grew up in than in his hometown. I think we're living proof that you never know who you are going to end up with. An American girl from a city of 6 million and an Australian boy from a country town of 500.
Alright, so I have four names - as in two middle names. That is such an annoying predicament when it comes to monogramming. I don’t have ANYTHING with the traditional three letters. I am about to get something with it though and I need to make an executive decision for which middle name I should drop. This is going to stick for all future monograms as well. One of my middle names is Elizabeth and the other is my mother’s maiden name. I am leaning towards keeping my mother’s name for the connection with her. What do y’all think?
THOUSANDS of newly graduated high schoolers (basically a bunch of 17 year olds) are in my city with lots of booze, hormones and who even knows what else. There’s even volunteers that help any lost souls or drunken comatose teens to safety. Then in the mornings they make them pancakes. WHAT?! It amazes me. Only in Australia.
